Education: Hurley High School, Hurley, SD 1980; B.A. Univ. of Sioux Falls, 1983. |
Family: Married to my lovely wife, Veda, since 1983. We live on a small farm near Freeman, SD. We have been blessed with three sons and four daughters. |
Rural Schools I have taught:
Dillon School, Bison Dist. 1984-85; Red Top
School, Meade County Dist. 1985-87;
Hereford School,
Meade County, 1987-88;
Oaklane School, Hanson County, 1988 to present.
I have also pastored several rural churches over the
years. We live on a small farm where we raise Jersey cattle,
border collie and Scottish terrier dogs, horses, rabbits, sheep, and lots of
poultry. I have a large incubator and enjoy hatching ducks and
geese. I love to read, study the Bible and religion, and do
genealogy, and collect antiques. I also enjoy working in my
orchard, collecting heirloom garden seeds, and keeping bees.
I love music and play the following instruments to dome degree: accordion, autoharp, banjo, dulcimer, fiddle, harmonica, mandolin, organ, saxophone, & tenor guitar. I'm also secretary for the Southeastern South Dakota Gospel Singing Convention, & serve on the Heritage Park entertainment committee for the Turner County Fair. |
